Gyros pita
While in Rhodos, Greece 2006, I accidentally bought this fast food from a grill in the old town. It was super delicious. Afterwards I wanted to make it at home too and bought a 'make your own gyros kit' from Lidl and it was disgusting. So I had to do it all by myself... A Greek gyros pita is like a pita kebab, only prepared from pork meat. You can find many different recipes for home cooking from the internet... Here is mine anyhow:
Sorry for I don't have proper photos of my gyros but only this snapshot. I'll try to remember photograph it next time I make them.

Easter time
Never before we've had such wonderful Easter weathers as we've had for almost two weeks already. The snow have been hard as rock and we've been skiing on the swamps and on the sea about 20km a day. Today was maybe one of our last ski trips for this winter as it is snowing now and weather reports are telling about raining and warming, so the snow will be soon gone I'm afraid. Here Nemo is having fun on the swamp:
I'll be adding more photos on to Nemo's gallery as soon as I go through with them...

Goddess of Joy
From a cave in Swiss Alps. A tribe of cavemen found it in a cave on a rock and served her as a Goddess of Joy and Light. They framed her with stone tools.
(Black pen and watercolour, made for Swiss setter called Joy)

Lens scope - do it yourself!
Know the lens scope? It's a new innovation they say - an eyepiece you can attach onto your camera's tele-lens to use it as a telescope (http://www.lens2scope.com/index.html):
It cost 179€ in a Finnish web shop. I don't get it because for that price you can already buy a good telescope??? So, let's do a home made lens scope. Again, everyone has got the old, crappy star telescope in warehouse. Go get the telescope's eyepieces and other stuff....
Autumn photos & Jade
I just updated Nemo's gallery for the recent photos and realized how few they were. Where has my inspiration been? I could blame the long and dark Autumn time, but when I look at the previous years, it is not an excuse. We haven't even been to swamps lately :-( I must shape up myself!
Well, there's happier news also: Nemo's gonna have a new pal because our friend took a smooth collie puppy. Meet Jade:

Clear sky at last!
Enough clouds and rain - now it's getting cold and tonight we can see stars again! We rushed to the woods at night with Nemo to take some photos. Here is one from the edge of the swamps:
And I hope there will be a lots of new star photos from the forthcoming winter!

Coffee painting
In this coffee painted image is Shannon, an old Irish setter girl of kennel Coppersheen, Switzerland. Unfortunately she's already deceased and I never had a chance to see her live. I wanted to paint her because she's the most beautiful dog in this world =)

Nemo in Earl Grey
I liked to draw and paint when I was a kid but I haven't really done that since school days. On the other day I got a desire to paint something with water colours and so I bought some water colour paper. This is what came out of my first sketch of Nemo. It's painted with Russian Earl Grey tea, except the background that I coloured by computer. Next one I'll do with coffee =)

Glass holder
Isn't it common in a family with kids that kitchen tables are filled with drinking glasses? Kids take a new glass every time they are thirsty and the dish machine is soon full of nothing but glasses. As we drink water for thirst and a glass can be used more than once, I had an idea to make a glass holder for everyone's glasses in the family. I had a spare slice of kitchen's working top oak that I carved four holes on it:
I measured it to match the chopping board as there was a proper place for it:
It's working already! No more tens of clean glasses around kitchen tables! =)
